Home is Where the Heart Is...

Happy Thursday! I'm so excited because today is Release Day at Taylored Expressions and I am so in love with all the new products released this month. I actually have three projects to share today (one was created by my little rugrat!) and so let's get right to it!

My first project features the new Sitting Pretty die set. It's such a great idea that was inspired by Taylor's art wall in her house. This card is for my husband, who travels and lot. I always try to include a little note when he goes away to remind him of all the love that is waiting for him at home.
I die-cut out four of the darling frames included in the set from more muted colors. I used the Mini Caps Alpha and #s die set to spell out three of the four letters in "HOME". For the "O," I printed out a tiny pic of my husband with our little guy and placed it inside the frame.

For my background, I used the new Subway Tiles Embossing Folder -- it's such a clean, crisp design, which I love. I added the included shelf to represent a mantle and added a sweet little Enamel Shape heart along with the rest of my sentiment.

For my send project, I used the new Matchbox die set. It is so much fun! You can fill the little box with just about anything and makes such a sweet gift or greeting for someone. I wanted to create a little Easter shadow box for my little guy's Easter basket. I was inspired by the idea of those darling viewing eggs to create this fun little scene.

The little Matchbook is just the right size for a sweet little scene and I love how it came with extra frame dies. I simply left the scalloped rectangle frame in place and die-cut it to create the little window. A few well-placed Nuvo drops were easy embellishments!

I used the bunny from one of my favorite Clearly Planned sets and created this scene with the fun Matchy Backgrounds stamp set -- love those clouds! The hill is a Stitched Circle Stacklet and the Wispy Grass Border was just perfect for my bunny. The "eggs" in the grass are Enamel Shapes!

My last project to share was actually made by my little guy! (He's the one pictured with my husband in the card.) He wanted to make a little car for a hand-drawn character he created and when he saw me working with the Matchbox die, he asked if he could make it into a car!

It was a really fun project to create together. He had a great time and so did I.
Hope you will drop by the TE Blog for eye candy from their awesome Creative team of designers! Thanks for stopping by!
