The Secret's Out! (SFYTT Guest Designer)...

Psst. I've been keeping a secret for the past few weeks and I'm bursting with the news. Jen del Muro, one of Verve's fabulous Divas and the creator of the wonderful i{heart}2stamp Sketch For You To Try weekly challenges, asked me to be her Designer of the Month for July! I nearly fell over when I heard from her and I can't begin to tell you how honored I am. So, for the next 4 Saturdays, I'll be sneak peeking my card creations for the SFYTT challenges here (check back after July for full images and Bean Notes.) To see the full cards, please visit Jen's blog and also check out what she and her wonderful design team come up with each week. Better yet, give the sketches a try for yourself!

I am doubly excited because my amazing mom-in-law, Susan, graciously agreed to create a card for each of the sketches so that my blog won't be empty! She's the most talented stamper I know and I'm so proud to feature her cards here on The Stampin' Bean. Susan doesn't have a blog of her own, but I'm hoping that, with some encouragement, she'll start one because she should be sharing her incredible creations with the planet. Check out her fab version of this week's sketch below, and please do leave comments for her to read!

Dream A Little...

To view the image up-close, please click on the photo.

Susan stamped this lovely floral image on Stampin' Up twill tape. (Now I'm going to have to order some of my own so that I can CASE this card!) I love how she cut out and distressed the embossed Kiwi Kiss frame, and the corduroy buttons are the perfect touch. Here is her card recipe:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Dream a Little Stamps
Inks: StazOn Jet Black; SU Basic Grey Classic Dye Ink
Papers: Stampin' Up Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper; Lasting Impressions Old Lace Solid

Materials and Tools: Cuttlebug Spots and Dots Embossing Folder; SU Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Brads; SU 3/8" and 1-1/2" Twill Tape; Hobby Blade, SU Distressing Tool, SU Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches

And, here's a little sneak peek of my card creation, in honor of 4th of July! To view the full card, please visit i{heart]2stamp!
