Birthday Duo...

My fabulous mom-in-law, Susan, has a birthday coming up next month, and I wanted to get a jump on some cards to wish her a very Happy Birthday. She feeds my stamping obsession (much to her son's chagrin!) But, I just adore her, and I made her a duo of good birthday wishes.
The first card was based on Taylor's Cupcake Challenge sketch for today, and I decided to stick to clean and simple. Just a little glitter pen and a popped out present and finished!
BEAN NOTES: Papertrey Ink Sign Language Stamps; Stampin' Up Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, and Close to Cocoa Classic Dye Ink; SU Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper; SU Kiwi Kiss Textured Cardstock; SU Whisper White and Kiwi Kiss Cardstock; White Brads (generic); Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Foam Dimensional Square (generic) HAPPY BEANS: Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen

The second card is also based on one of Taylor's cards from her blog (click here for a peek) - I liked the design and went all out on the pink. I tried to bring out the polka dots in the "Birthday Bliss" image with some dotted ribbon and a dotted oval border. A couple of pink gemstones and I'm done!
BEAN NOTES: Stampin' Up Birthday Bliss and Papertrey Ink Oval Borders and Corners Stamps; SU Melon Mambo Classic Dye Ink; DCWV Sweet Stack Designer Paper; SU Melon Mambo, Whisper White, and Pink Pirouette Cardstock; Spellbinders Classic Scallop Square Nestabilities; Big Shot; SU Melon Mambo Grosgrain Ribbon HAPPY BEANS: Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen; Pink Gemstones (generic)

The second one is my favorite, but they are both so nice. You are a lucky girl to enjoy your mother-in-law. I did, too.
