Ooey-Gooey Goodness...

to view an image up-close, please click on the photo

Today we're celebrating a birthday with a surprise hop! If you've hopped over from Karen Motz's Paper Playhouse, a big welcome, and you'll know that Nancy McKinney, illustrator and all-around fabulous lady is one of my inspirations, as she is to many, many paper-crafters out there. Some of you know that I dabble here and there with doodling my own artwork, so, though Nancy's shining talents dim any ability I might possess, I thought I'd draw something in her honor. Since I can't help her party in person, I went with a big, huge, ooey-gooey topsy-turvy cake, complete with some liquid dimensional frosting. Happy Birthday, Nancy, and here's to YOU!

Liquid Pearls make a perfect dimensional frosting
BEAN NOTES:
  • Illustration: "Ooey-Gooey Birthday" (The Stampin' Bean)
  • Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Concord Crush (Stampin' Up!); Solar White (Neenah)
  • Fibers: Melon Mambo Grosgrain (SU!)
  • Tools: Scallop Punch (SU!)
  • Accents: Brads (Basic Grey)
  • Coloring Medium: Sketch Markers (Copic)
HAPPY BEANS:

Now hop on over to the darling Donna Baker's blog HERE for more celebratory fun. If you get off track, come on back and refer to the list below. Don't forget to drop by Nancy's blog and wish her many happy returns!
