At 10,000 Feet...

It's Thursday! Where did this week go? I did take a wee break from the rugrat's scrapbook for a couple days, so I promised myself I would get back into the groove of it with another layout. I gave myself the challenge of taking some cute patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket, which I won way back during Gallery Idol, and see if I could apply it to a page for my little guy. This layout was the result!
I was inspired by this sweet page from the very talented Nichol Magouirk and her Scrapbook Stamping Challenge over at 2 Peas. I loved her layout and adapted it for mine.

I knew what I wanted the title to say, and I stamped the beginning of it by creating my own stamp out of a font set. I let the colors in the photographs lead me to the right papers, and I paired the Material Girl paper with some from Togetherness. To mimic the flowers growing on the hillside, I added a handful of paper flowers to some tall grass. With linen thread, I stitched along the top of the title element just to add a tiny bit of texture. I had a fun time with this page and I'm glad to have another one down and about a zillion more to go!

I hope those of you who nominated me will think me worth the vote! There is still time to cast your nomination on THIS Facebook page, and the Top 10 nominated designers will move on to the next round. "Like" Cosmo Cricket to vote, and you could win one of their new lines!
