Yes, your eyes do not deceive you...it's Christmas in August! Today, it's all about giving, with Day One of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions. I'm so excited to introduce the latest set in Taylor's Giving Tree program, Joy to the World. For every set sold between August 4 - October 31, Taylor will donate $5 to Angel Tree, a worthwhile charity that encourages churches across the county to provide Christmas gifts to children of prison inmates. Taylor is so excited about this wonderful , TE is giving away an Angel Bundle Prize Pack (Joy to the World full-sized stamp set, Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit, and Musical Swirls Impression Plate!) To be entered into the prize drawing, simply visit the Angel Tree website HERE and email Taylor with the answer to this question in the subject line: "Who is the founder of Angel Tree?" Your answer must be received by Wed, August 3 at 6 pm PST. Taylor will announce the winner on her blog at 10 pm PST.
The card I made with this beautiful set also features the very cool Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit, with beautiful patterned paper, ribbon, and accents. This card was so simple to create and easy to mail.

Today I wanted to show off how you can take a simple card and build on it to make it really special. With the same elements from the Card Kit, I created another card, very similar to my first, but stepped it up a little by incorporating some extra details, such as a scalloped border around the frame, a lovely embossed background (created with the new Musical Swirls Impression Plate) and another previously released stamp image around my sentiment. I also double-stamped the sweet angel, fussy cutting her out and popping her up over the wings for some dimension.
