Paper Crafts Magazine Presents: Bonus Sketch Blog Hop

to view an image up-close, please click on a photo

Welcome to the Bonus Sketch Blog Hop from Paper Crafts Magazine! (Make sure you read on for info on not one, but two super-fun giveaways!) One of the proudest moments of my life was when I was first published in Paper Crafts Magazine last year -- it opened up a whole new world of paper-crafting to me and I made so many new friends. Now, another of one of the best things to ever happen to me happened a few months ago when I got word that I would have SIX cards published in the incredible new special issue, Card Ideas for Paper Crafters! Today, I have the honor of participating in the Bonus Sketch Blog Hop with an incredible line-up of talented paper artists! I had such a blast creating cards for the issue -- I'm a "sketch" gal and find the most inspiration from a cool, fun, or unique design and I am over the moon to be a part of this special issue (pick up your copy HERE!)

At the end of this scrumptious issue are 12 fabulous bonus sketches. For today's hop, I chose this wonderful sketch from the uber-talented Heidi Van Laar. What I adore about sketches is that you as a designer are free to use it in any way that works for you -- flip it, turn it, remove an element, add an accent...whatever works! For this card, I used the sketch as inspiration for a thank you card filled with summer goodness. Now, for more sketchy inspiration, be sure to hop on to the other wonderful designers on the hop.

  • Julia Stainton

  • Teri Anderson

  • Chan Vuong

  • Lindsay Amrhein

  • Kalyn Kepner

  • Regina Mangum (you're here!)

  • Angeline Yong

  • Heidi Van Laar

  • Kimberly Crawford

  • Vanessa Menhorn

  • Plus, one lucky commenter from each blog will win a copy of Card Ideas for Paper Crafters! So, leave me a comment telling me what you love about sketches (or what you find most challenging) and I'll send one commenter a copy of your very own -- be sure to leave an email address where you can be contacted! (Comments must be left by Midnight, Sunday, August 28) But wait, there's more! When you're done drooling over all the amazing projects by these talented ladies, head back to Paper Crafts Connection and leave a comment for a chance to win this FUN PRIZE:
