Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks -- Happy 6th!

It's Day One of Sneak Peeks for the November Release at Taylored Expressions. I got to play along as a guest today and I'm so delighted to get to show off a card I created using the soon-to-be-released Sweet & Simple Alpha dies!

It was recently my son's big sixth birthday and I always try to make him a special card each year. He's starting to read on his own and so I wanted to make something simple that he could take pleasure out of reading himself. I took the fun Sweet & Simple Alpha Upper and Lower, as well as the Sweet & Simple #'s and die cut some fun patterned paper. I used the negative space and popped up the panel using some foam squares (making sure to include the little pieces in some of the letters!) With the addition of some stars and balloons, I had a perfect card for my big little man!

Here's a pic from his big mining birthday party. I did manage to create a geode cake for year, I'm thinking a nice simple cake from the grocery store!

Dies: Sweet & Simple Alpha Upper, Lower and #'s; Seeing Stars, Make a Wish Balloons (Taylored Expressions); Patterned Paper: Happy Campers (WRMK); Cardstock: Stampin' Up!; Accents: diamond Stickles (Ranger)
