Today I have the honor and pleasure of participating in the final JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop, this time joined by my cohorts at 2 Sketches 4 You! It has been an amazing run of spectacular holiday inspiration. (Pssst! Keep reading for a fun Enabler Alert!) Also, if you'd like to join the fun, JustRite is this week's 2S4Y sponsor and you could win a happy prize if you are selected as this week's Card of the Week! Visit my post HERE for my card using this week's fab sketch.

NOTE: use a flameless candle, as the luminaria is made of paper
For this Hop, we are showcasing holiday gifts and lucky me, I got to use the adorable new cling set, Sparky and Friends. I decided to make my version of a luminaria, or votive candle holder, that would be easy to package and ship off to a loved one this Christmas. The great part about this gift is that it folds flat and will easily fit into a padded envelope.
To create the lit scene, stamp the image onto vellum and color in with markers. I used Copics, which dried quite nicely.

The luminaria also looks pretty during the daytime beneath a well-lit window

SPILLING THE BEANS
  1. From two letter-size pieces of cardstock, trim to form basic luminaria. (Leave 1/4-inch tabs to glue and assemble. (Tip: Do not fully assemble until all sides have been decorated.
  2. Punch snowflakes in three sides.
  3. Border punch top edge. Adhere cardstock accent strip.
  4. Die-cut window from front panel. (Tip: cut a hole slightly smaller than your image.) Die-cut border frame and adhere.
  5. Stamp and color image on vellum. Die-cut and adhere with colored side facing out.
  6. Assemble luminaria.
  7. Adhere cardstock strip. Adhere ribbon.
  8. Stamp sentiment and die-cut fancy tag. Trim and adhere.
  9. Tie bow and adhere.

Wow, Regina---I can't decide if your luminaria is prettier by day or night, both, I think. It's so festive and Christmas-y and the little snowman family is adorable. Thanks for sharing this one!
