A Happy Mother (Verve April Project Parade)...

To view an image up-close, please click on the photo.

For the Verve Project Parade in April, we were asked to create something to celebrate a woman in our lives. I made a Mother's Day Card for my mom-in-law, Susan, who has been like a real mother to me ever since I met my husband 15 years ago. She is also the one who got me hooked on stamping and card-making, so I simply had to make her a special card. For this one, I used my Big Shot and Nestabilities to create a window card that is embellished both inside and out. The "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment was created with the Emboss Resist technique, which kept it soft and subtle.

Lucky me! Loved the colors, the flowers, the pearls---what a pretty design, Regina. No wonder this one was a winner!
