Just Say 'Boo!' -- Taylored Expressions Release Day!

Happy Thursday, crafty friends! I am so excited to share a card I created because today is Release Day at Taylored Expressions and I used fun new goodies from this spooky release! My card uses one of my very favorite new dies, By the Fireside, and I can envision so many different uses for this versatile die! I die-cut all the elements from thick, white cardstock. The 'wallpaper' behind the fireplace is from the new patterned paper pack, Playful Patterns - Haunted.

I used the new Little Bits Cauldron and colored it with some glitter pens and placed it inside the fireplace. I embossed with the Brick Embossing folder for the back of the fireplace, which added some awesome texture.

How cute is this little bat? He's from the new Gone Batty Stamp and Die combo set and you can personalize the little batty's face. I wanted to try out the new Sugar Cube Matched Hybrid Ink from TE and I love love love the clean, crisp lines I got  when stamping on black cardstock -- without heat embossing! I placed the "Boo" sentiment inside a stitched frame and 'hung' it above the mantle. Above the fireplace I added a die-cut Little Bits Spider and Web.

Hope you enjoyed my card today! Check out the TE Blog today for more spooky fun!

BAD Witch!

Halloween is such a fun holiday. My little boy absolutely adores everything about it and I have to admit, decorating is fun and so is creating cards to send out to friends and family. I used some of the new Halloween products from Taylored Expressions to create this witchy card.

I pulled out the paper from the new Hocus Pocus Matched kit of patterned paper and coordinating card stock and trimmed and die-cut my card base. I ran the panel through with the new Harlequin Embossing Folder and lightly sponged some ink over the top to bring out the cool and spooky pattern. I also die-cut the cute little witch's hat using the new Little Bits die and the "BAD" letters with the Mini Caps & #s set. I love the fonts from the Little Bits of Halloween stamp set, which rounded out my little card just perfect for Halloween!

Taylored Expressions Release Day: Shakin' Spooks

Hey there, crafty friends! I'm back again this week with more Taylored Expressions fun. Shaker cards are all the rage right now, and I thought I'd try my own. I created this fun card for my little one, who LOVES Halloween!

I also used the sketch from the fun Sketch Selfie Share Challenge going on right now on the TE Blog. It's got a pretty sweet $250 Gift Certificate up for grabs (I'm not eligible, being affiliated with Taylored Expressions as I am, BUT that did not stop me from playing along…I even took a Selfie!)

I used the new Little Bits dies the are releasing today (Ghosts, Halloween Scene, and Haunted House) -- aren't they cute? And they were sized perfectly for my shaker. I also used the new Tangled Web Embossing Folder on the background…love the deep impression and how it's sized to cover an entire A2 card!

I also used the new Hocus Pocus patterned paper and smooth card stock from TE. Super fun and a longtime coming, so I had a lot of fun putting this all together.

And, how lucky that TE is also releasing Sequins! They were the perfect thing to fill up my Shaker card and I'm pretty sure these types of cards will become addictive for me.

And, as I said, I even took a Selfie of well, myself, with my card for the Challenge!
Here it is:

(and there I am!)

Spookable You

Hey there, crafty friends! It's Saturday night and I thought I'd whip up a fun card in anticipation of Halloween, which is going to be here before we know it! I pulled out the recently released Made in the Shade 2 from Taylored Expressions. I love all the little scenes in the set and how it matches perfectly with the Shade Tree Cutting Plate.

I started by die-cutting the tree in a deep purple, like a shadow, but one that would still show up against black paper. I set that aside as I stamped and embossed the little Halloween scene in white. It really pops on the black paper! I then used the Cloud Border to cut a stencil that I used with white chalk ink to sponge on some spooky clouds in my night sky.

It was easy enough to create a full moon with a circle punch and sheet of scratch paper. Then I put it all together with some orange paper for a fun, spooky card that I'll send to a fellow Halloween fan!

boo

It's Halloween week at Imaginisce! I've been making a lot of sweet and fun Halloween projects for the kids, so I thought I'd try making one for my husband. I wanted to make a black and white card, so of course I reached for the Black Ice collection. I couldn't resist combining it with the little skeleton girl from Monster Mash. I love how the elegant paper make this card just a little bit creepy...that plus the i-Rock jeweled eye!

Visit the Imaginisce blog for more Halloween inspiration from my awesome teammates!

Imaginisce: Designer-A-Day...Ghoulish Delights

Happy Thursday! Today is my spotlight day at Imaginisce and I decided to create some spooky-good-fun Halloween cards featuring one of my favorite tools, the i-Rock! Of course, I just had to use the absolutely adorable Monster Mash collection.

For both cards, I wanted to use the i-Rock and crystal Glam Rocks to add a bit of fa-BOO-lousness.

The i-Rock made adhering the multiple bling a breeze and really added a lot to the spiderweb background.

The Glam Rock compact has several different sizes of stones, which was perfect for the graduated effect on the web.

My second card is a fun one that features this darling little vampire.

I heat embossed with black embossing powder and added some white accents with a white gel pen.

Again, the Glam Rocks added so much to really bring my card alive!
