Love is the Thread That Keeps Us Together: TE Release Day!

Hello there, crafty friends! Today is Release Day at Taylored Expressions and I got to play along again this month. It's their Valentine's Release and there is so much love going on today, I'm all a dither! Today I have two projects to share with you today. The first features a darling new die, the Embroidery Hoop, and I think it's brilliant.

I paired the die with stamps from the new Stitch by Stitch set. I used ombre ink for some contrast throughout the whole card. In the background, I added texture with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.

I love any die with stitching, and the new Stitched Heart Stacklets are my new favorite. I thought it needed a little bit of a frame, so I simply inked in the outside border with a Copic marker to match the green in the card. Don't you just adore that sentiment?
My second card is a fun one that is created almost entirely with dies. I used one of the new Picture Perfect Valentine dies to create a cute frame. I added the new Love, Be Mine Banner across the top of it and put the whole thing onto a white mat and adhered it to a gingham background.

This little pig is from the new Quick Critters set and it really is QUICK. The included dies cut out the animal shape and you simply stamp the cute little faces inside!

For the inside, I again used ombre ink to stamp the sweet sentiment!

I hope you will check out all the amazing Release Day projects over on the TE Blog. Happy stamping!

Taylored Expressions Release Day…Petite-a-Palooza LOVE!

Happy 2015! I hope you have all been celebrating the new year in style! I got to kick the year off by playing along with the designers for Taylored Expressions for Petite-a-Palooza, which was really fun. Today, I'm sharing two cards I created with some newly-released products, beginning with a card I made for my little guy for Valentine's Day.

I used the new Vroom Vroom Stamp & Die Combo Petite set -- how cute is this little race car and the sentiment? I paired the race car with Build-a-Scene Rolling Hills and the new Build-a-Scene Rolling Clouds and Build-a-Scene On the Road. The best part is that TE has released a new coordinating Paper Pack to match Build-a-Scene! I used Curly Border to create some exhaust smoke from the car and the heart from Build-A-Tag 2 (which made for the perfect 'driver!')

I think my little guy will love his V-Day card. He adores race cars and he makes me run around so much that my heart really does race!

Next up is another V-Day card, this time created with the new Hello Baby Petite Stamp & Die Combo. Even though the set can be used for baby cards, I thought I'd create a bright, happy V-Day card, which features the new patterned paper and card stock from the Rainbow Brights Matched Kit. L-O-V-E!

The stamp set comes with awesome dies that cut out the cloud perfectly and little happy shapes that can 'rain' from the cloud. I've also used the new Cloudy Days Embossing Folder which is one of my new favorite tools!

I finished off with a bit of Wink of Stella glitter pen just to give the cloud a little pizazz. I hope you can see it in the photo above.

Happy Release Day, Taylored Expressions! You can find more projects over on the TE Blog and all products are now available in the Store!

XOXOXO = LOVE

Happy Monday, crafty friends! I know that this is the week of Christmas, but I thought I'd take a little break from all the holiday fun to create something for the next happy holiday -- Valentine's Day! I got to play with the new Hearts a Plenty Cutting Plate from Taylored Expressions and the new Build a Tag 2 die set and I thought I'd go colorful!

This new cutting plate is so cool! It is similar in concept to one of my other favorite cutting plates, the In-Flight Cutting Plate in that it has hearts that don't cut completely, but rather allow for some dimension. There are also matching dies to cut out the different sized hearts, which I used to make my rainbow of love. I also used the new Little Bits Love Confetti dies to create my sentiment…sweet!

Next up I created a coordinating tag using the new Build a Tag 2 die set. It's so darling and I just used it to die-cut all the different colored card stock and fit it all back together. Super fast and so perfect for a V-Day treat! Just a bit of glitter glue for the blue heart to finish it off!

I used the "love" portion from the Hearts a Flutter Cutting Plate to complete my tag.

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season!
Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year!

Be MINE: Taylored Expressions Release Day!

Hey there, crafty friends! Today is Release Day at Taylored Expressions and I had the pleasure of getting to play along with my friends at TE. It's all about Valentine's Day this month, which is one of my very favorite holidays. I created two cards for the occasion and I can't wait to share! My first card uses the new Wishes on a Wire Valentine. I colored in the darling image with Copics and decided to go all white-on-white for a fresh, pretty look.

For both cards, I framed the image in the new Postage Stamp Stacklets dies. Aren't those fabulous? It's actually a concept that I suggested, so I'm doubly excited to see it in action. My second card uses the new You've Got Mail Valentine and sentiments from the new Little Bits Valentine. I just adore the little birds on the mailbox!

I also used the new Twirls & Swirls Embossing Folder. Isn't that a pretty pattern?

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. Be sure to visit the TE Blog for links to all the designers projects and visit the TE Store -- everything is now available!

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peek: You're My Type of Chick

Happy Wednesday! I'm playing all this week with the new release products from Taylored Expressions and today I am showing off a new cutting plate and border die that I just love! For my first project, I am working with the soon-to-be-released Proud as a Peakcock Cutting Plate

I'm a little behind on my Valentin's Day cards, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to create something for my sweet husband. He knows me so well and lets me basically do anything I want (within reason) like buy an old fashioned typewriter for my craft space. Now that's love! This cutting plate let me create the type of cool and funky background that he thinks takes me hours -- but it only takes minutes!

My second card is one I created for my fun-loving sister-in-law for Easter. I used an old favorite set, Hello Spring, and had those little chicks hopping along a border of flowers I created with the new Floral Eyelet Border. Cute, huh?

To create the two-toned effect, I simple used the negative from the die and colored in the turquoise background before placing the border over it, adding some fun embellishments to top off this simple, yet fun card.

BEAN NOTES
In addition to the supplies listed below, I also used the following products from Taylored Expressions, available on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
Dies: Retro Cutting Plate, Floral Eyelet Cutting Plate
