Holiday Wishes...a Pop-Up!

My amazing experience with Imaginisce is winding to a close, but before it does, I get to show off what may be my very favorite collection, Colors of Christmas. I love the colors and the sweet critters that make up this cheerful, wonderful collection. I was inspired to create a special Christmas card for my son, who loves owls and hedgehogs.

For my card, I fussy cut out some of the elements from the darling patterned paper and applied a simple pop-up mechanism. It's a fun way to add something special to a card and create a little scene of festive fun. The die-cuts form the collection made for easy and bold sentiments.

A few die-cut snowflakes along the bottom completed my card. And who can resist an owl wearing a red scarf?

Be sure to check out the Imaginice blog for more Christmas inspiration!

The Colors of Christmas

I love Christmas collections that use bright, pretty colors so when I saw the Colors of Christmas collection from Imaginisce, I was so thrilled! I created two layouts to (finally!) capture some fun Christmas memories from last year.

WIth the holidays fast approaching, I don't have a lot of time to scrap. So for my first layout, I kept things clean and simple. I used the patterned paper for some ready-made borders and pennants, which made things easy. With some of the cute die cuts and shiny jewels from the collection, I had a fresh layout for my son's scrapbook.

The second layout is a bit more involved, though again I let the patterned paper from the collection do the work for me. This was from Christmas day and so I had multiple photos that i wanted to use. The die cuts and jewels helped me out again!

Thanksgiving with Imaginisce

We're celebrating Thanksgiving at Imaginisce and today I have a quick way to add a little fun to your holiday table.

We always have Thanksgiving at my mother-in-law's house, so I thought I would create some fun place cards for our family dinner. Of course, I had to use the new Bushel of Fall collection, which really helped me because I have been so busy lately (I let the cuteness do the work for me!) With the die-cuts, the gorgeous jewels, and a bit of foam tape, I had some sweet little place holders to spruce up the holiday table!

Be sure to visit the Imaginisce blog for more Thanksgiving inspiration!

Veterans Day with Imaginisce

For me, Veterans Day is a wonderful chance to remember not only the fallen heroes who serve in the military, but also to recognize all those men and women who returned from duty to rebuild their lives and the lives of others in the country they worked so hard to protect and preserve. My father-in-law is a veteran of the U.S. armed forces. My own dad, a naturalized citizen of the U.S., served in the military of his country of origin trying to help protect the fragile democracy of his homeland.

I wanted to create a card honoring Veterans like my father-in-law and my dad, who served to keep freedom alive around the world. I didn't have any traditional red, white, and blue collections handy, so I reached for papers from Good Dog, which is rich with darker colors. After punching out a starry field, I added a die-cut rosette and a wood button from Bushel of Fall.

Be sure to visit the Imaginisce blog for more Veterans Day inspiration from my design teammates!

boo

It's Halloween week at Imaginisce! I've been making a lot of sweet and fun Halloween projects for the kids, so I thought I'd try making one for my husband. I wanted to make a black and white card, so of course I reached for the Black Ice collection. I couldn't resist combining it with the little skeleton girl from Monster Mash. I love how the elegant paper make this card just a little bit creepy...that plus the i-Rock jeweled eye!

A Bushel of Fall

I love Fall. There's something in the air that makes sitting at my craft table cozy and fun. The Bushel of Fall collection from Imaginisce put me in just the right frame of mind to create a trio of coordinating cards.

For my first card, I wanted to really showcase all the fun patterned paper in the collection. I created a fun die-cut background and then simple added one of the cute matching dimensional stickers. The Happy Fall die-cut was the perfect sentiment and I absolutely adore the new wood buttons!

My second card had me pulling out my markers to color in two of the darling Snag'Em stamps. Again, I used a die-cut sentiment from the collection and another fun wood button.

My third card was simple to create because I used the pretty patterned paper to create my background. I let the die-cuts do most of my work for me, and with a little bit of twine, I was all set!

Imaginisce: Designer-A-Day...Ghoulish Delights

Happy Thursday! Today is my spotlight day at Imaginisce and I decided to create some spooky-good-fun Halloween cards featuring one of my favorite tools, the i-Rock! Of course, I just had to use the absolutely adorable Monster Mash collection.

For both cards, I wanted to use the i-Rock and crystal Glam Rocks to add a bit of fa-BOO-lousness.

The i-Rock made adhering the multiple bling a breeze and really added a lot to the spiderweb background.

The Glam Rock compact has several different sizes of stones, which was perfect for the graduated effect on the web.

My second card is a fun one that features this darling little vampire.

I heat embossed with black embossing powder and added some white accents with a white gel pen.

Again, the Glam Rocks added so much to really bring my card alive!

Back 2 School with Imaginisce

The team at Imaginisce is hoping to provide some Back 2 School inspiration as the kiddos gear up to go back to school. Here's a project I wanted to share with you...
My little guy is starting kindergarten this week! I wanted to create some extra special notes to slip into his lunchbox and so I created these 3 x 3 inch cards so that I could include a photo from a special thing we did this summer, which included hiking, flying a kite, outdoor parties, and lots of time at the beach.

I used four different collections, but focused on one for each note, which made coordinating them a breeze. The sticker stackers were terrific. (Tip: you can carefully peel off the dimensional pieces of the stickers and move them around to suit your needs, which I did on a couple of these notes.)

I thought the pics from our various summertime adventures would ease a little of the anxiety he might be feeling over being away from us for so much of the day...I had a good time reliving these adventures as I created these, too!

I hope you enjoyed my lunchbox memory notes! For more Back 2 School inspiration, visit the Imaginisce blog all this week for some great ideas from my team mates
