To bid proper goodbye to the Retiring Colors, I decided to see if I could make a card that used ALL of them. I didn't think I could do it, but I did manage to make this fun, bright card to pay homage to all the wonderful colors that have become almost like friends.
For this card, I used two punches, one from the new Punch Pack and the other a 1/2" Circle Punch. I simply punched every color twice and then assembled them onto a piece of white card stock. I used a 1-3/4" Circle Punch to cut a window through my colorful panel as well as my white card base and glued a piece of Basic Black to the inside of the card. Pixie Pink is one I am going to miss but then there are a few that I am going to miss. I know the new ones are great too.
I am going to miss the blues! I have the blues over the retirement of the blues. Brilliant Blue, Brocade Blue, Bordering Blue and Ballet Blue. :) I love the card you designed with ALL the retiring colors! I would have thought it would be impossible and off putting to have all the colors on one card. But yours is beautiful and very cool!!

WOW!!! What a fun card to use all of the retiring colors!!! One of my favorites is Brocade Blue. It is fun with Sage Shadow to make that perfect "fishy" card!! I'm sure though that I'll love the new color revolution!!

My favorite color that will be retiring is Taken With Teal my heart really sank when I saw that color on the retiring list, but I have so many new colors to choose from maybe I will find a new favorite. Thanks for sharing your talent, I visit your blog all the time.

Oh, I'm SO going to miss Pink Passion. I'm going to miss all of those Bold Brights. They're always the colors I go to and there won't be any bright, clear colors to replace them. :o( By the way, I LOVE your baby card for today with the moon. BEAUTIFUL! ;o)

I love Taken with Teal and I'm sorry to see it go But I'm excited by Stampin Up's changes...I think it's good to freshen things up and it will add a more current feel to SU's color array.
I am going to miss several: handsome hunter, sage shadow, mellow moss and close to cocoa.
This has been so much fun and I love the dot card--have to case this one!

I actually fell in love with Sage Shadow it's on of those colors that you rarely see but it stands out. However, as much as Sage will be missed I am really sad to see Taken with Teal retire. It was such a really "Happy" color.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE your card! I tried to line up 9 1" squares one time and it took me 2 day....how long did it take to line up those dots??? My favorite retiring colors are brilliant blue and only orange...Go Gators! I think I ordered all SU had left...it will be fun to try the new colors too. Thanks for great ideas.

I'm a purple/pink kind of gal, so I think I'll miss Lovely Lilac the most, and Hunter Green is not far behind, because I make a lot of masculine cards, and that is such a strong masculine color. What a great card to honor all retirees! I will miss all of the purples. I am not sure if I will miss Lovely Lilac or Lavender Lace the most. I loved using the purples and greens together on cards.

That was quite a feat to get all the retiring colors in the space. Well done. The color I will miss the most that is retiring is sage shadow, I pull that color out a gret deal. It will be hard to replace.

Mello Moss jumps to mind first. I will miss many of the colors! I have used the inks and papers for years now. I am looking forward to the new color groups, but will keep using pink passion,lovely lilac,ballet blue,really rust,ruby red,creamy caramel and close to cocoa as long as my supplies last.
I'm with you Sage shadow, but I also have a soft spot for Blush blossom and Barely Banana!
