Beachy Thanks...

My husband's aunt and uncle were kind enough to take our whole family out to celebrate his birthday and he asked me to make him a card to thank them for the fun meal. They took us to a wonderful dim sum restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. I actually find it just as difficult to make cards for my husband to use as he never wants anything "too frilly" -- so I was glad to have this fab sketch from the crew over at Pals Paper Arts and I pulled this lovely beach house image from A Day in Paradise from Taylored Expressions.
I actually stamped and colored the house first and then divided it up into equal squares before matting it. For the sentiment, I stamped a simple one onto some twill tape for a bit of visual and textural interest.  My hubby's aunt and uncle are in Hawaii on vacation right now, so I think they'll enjoy receiving this when they return home.

BEAN NOTES
Stamps: A Day in Paradise (Taylored Expressions); sentiment from Trendy Trees  (Stampin' Up!)

Patterned Paper: Pear Pizazz DSP (SU!)
Cardstock: Pear Pizazz, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi (SU!); Choice Snow (TE)
Fibers: Twill Tape (SU!)
Accents: Brads (Making Memories)

Adorable, Regina! I love the soft colors. The "four-square" house is so clever. This is a great card for your husband to send to his aunt and uncle.

This. Is super adorable and I love it. I love how you divided up the house. A perfect thank you card and not too frilly or girly, at all.
