Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are all spending this "love-ly" holiday with your favorite sweetie! The Taylored Expressions Baker's Dozen is celebrating with by creating with this month's Key Ingredients Kit, which features coordinating cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, and embellishments galore!
I am loving this vintage style and I decided to go with it again for an elegant Valentine's Day card. I was actually inspired by my fun and fabulous teammate, Wanda Guess, who was my partner-in-crime at this year's CHA. She admired butterflies while we were there and I thought I'd make this card in her honor.
When I saw the pretty paper's "celebrate" label image, I though it was the perfect sentiment for today -- to celebrate love! So I took out my go-to alphabet set, You're My Type - Upper, and stamped and punched out the word and popped each letter out for some dimension.
The butterflies were first embossed with the newly-released Houndstooth/Damask Impression plate, then die-cut them out with some Taylored Dies. I always think that black is such an elegant addition to a love or Valentine's Day card...what do you think?
We are loving getting to play with the TE Key Ingredients Team this month...be sure to visit my teammate, Jen Shults and the KI Blog for some inspiration from the lovely Lea Lawson!
