Letterpress Thanks...

Hi Crafty Friends! I have been wanting to try out the L Letterpress from Lifestyle Crafts for ages--lucky me, they sent me some goodies to play with and I get to share some fun projects I created with you. I adore the look of letterpress cards and I thought I would create a trio of thank you cards using this wonderful technique. 

I got to play with the very modern and pretty Posy Printing Plates. My first thank you card features the sweet little bird and some of the fun circles. I used Teal and Black Letterpress Ink and then framed the pressed images with a Nesting Rings die in black cardstock. This "shaped" card was created by simply trimming around the frame!

What I loved about the printing plates is that it is also possible to create an "ink-less" impression, similar to an embossing folder, but with a very clean and precise impression and, of course, it is a "debossed" image. I use a portion of the pretty posies and then added a splash of color for my sentiment. Clean, simple, fresh and easy.

Finally, I created this card by mixing just a tiny splash of Black Letterpress Ink with Teal Letterpress Ink to create a custom color that would match my color palette. The middle "Thank You" is actually from the L Letterpress Starter Kit, which includes a variety of plates, Black Letterpress Ink, as well as paper, and everything else to get you started and is compatible with most die cutting machines.
