HB2Y...(A Gift Card Holder Tutorial!)

Happy, Happy Monday! I am so excited to kick off this week with a fun new project using some newly released dies from Lifestyle Crafts. Plus, as an Affiliate, I get to pass along an exclusive Stampin' Bean promotional code for 20% off in the LC Crafts store!
ENTER CODE: BEAN during checkout.

Today I am featuring two newly released dies from the new Nesting Pinking line -- Pinking Rectangles and Pinking Circles

I love giving gifts, but I don't always know what to give and gift cards can seem
a bit impersonal. So, what better way to give a gift than to dress up a gift card? Here's a tutorial for this quick and easy gift card holder.

Using the second largest Nesting Pinking Rectangle die, die-cut TWO panels from felt. (Bean Tip: Use a good quality felt with a tight weave for ease of cutting.)
With a hole punch, punch holes along three sides of each panel. (Bean Tip: Punch one panel, then lay it over the other and punch again so the holes line up perfectly.)
With embroidery floss, stitch though the holes to form a pocket.

After assembling the pocket, I die-cut two of the darling Nesting Pinking Circles from more felt and added a bright yellow button and a twine bow.

For my "hb2u" (Happy Birthday to You) title, I die-cut using the Studio Alphabet, but you could use any font that you like, as long as your die can cut felt. (Bean Tip: If your dies are backed with foam that results in your die not cutting through the felt, simply use a hobby blade along the edges and the die-cut can easily be separated.)

And there you have it! A cute, fun, and easy way to dress up a gift card for that special (and lucky!) someone.

Remember, if you enter the PROMO CODE: BEAN during checkout from the Lifestyle Crafts store, you'll get 20% off! Happy Crafting!

This is so pretty-I never would have thought to do a blanket stitch along a pinked edge. How smart it that? Thanks for joining us at Opus Gluei this week with your pretty card!

What a fantastic idea for taking a gift card and making its presentation special. Love the tutorial here and I admit I have never thought of die cutting felt, I will have to try it out.

Beautifully done and perfect for our Opus Gluei theme, thank you for playing with us.
