I have been wanting to try my hand at a monochromatic card for some time, and, lo and behold, this week's Hero Arts Club Blog Challenge is exactly that! I chose a color that I don't use too often, and I decided to be as true to my orange monochrome as possible, resisting the temptation to use any other color, even a neutral like white or black. Still on my hot air balloon kick, I went for broke and made a sky filled with them...all in orange! I needed to make use of different shades of orange and textures to make the card work, and I was pleased with the results. The main "Hello" balloon and the clouds were created from the same Hero Arts set, Hello Circles. For the smaller balloons, I found some fun, bright orange buttons, added some baskets and 'rope,' and watched them drift away.
