Really Nuts for You!...

Can you believe it is already the middle of January? That means that the grand LOVE day is just around the corner. This month's Blast From the Past Blog Hop from Taylored Expressions is all about love, and I made a fun little Valentine for today's hop. I took the adorable little squirrel from the belated birthday A la Carte set, Oh Nuts, and turned it into a sweet little critter holding an armful of hearts. The sentiment is from the set, Tweet Hearts, and I think it fits perfectly.

Don't be hesitant to take images intended for one purpose and use them for something else! (Below is a card I made with the original image.) You will get a lot of mileage out of your stamps and have some fun while you are at it!

SPILLING THE BEANS
  1. Make card from cardstock.
  2. Trim patterned paper; mat with cardstock. Stamp sentiment. Attach heart brads. Adhere.
  3. Die-cut scalloped circle and circle from patterned paper. Adhere.
  4. Stamp squirrel (Bean tip: ink all but the acorn from original image.) Color with markers. Adhere with foam tape.
  5. Punch hearts and adhere. Apply stickles.
  6. Stamp squirrel again and color just the left arm. Adhere.
  7. Apply liquid pearls.
