Swimmin' Like a Whale...

Over the summer, we had a wonderful chance to travel with my husband for his work and stayed at a beautiful hotel with a pool. We took the opportunity to introduce our little guy to swimming for the first time and I made this layout to commemorate the event. Daddy used to be a competitive swimmer, so I left the lesson to him and the rugrat had a great time.

I wanted the page to bring to mind the tiles in a swimming pool and lucked out with these papers from October Afternoon. I also broke out a neglected Cricut cartridge (I think almost all of mine are, unfortunately!) to create the title, inspired by the challenge going on over at Fantabulous Cricut. There were SO many photos to choose from, so I designed a layout that would allow me to use a lot of them without sacrificing the wonderful pic of my two boys having a splashing good time together. Real lessons with a teacher have just begun, and I hope he'll be swimming like a fish by this summer!

BEAN NOTES
  • Patterned Paper: Detours: Walk in the Park, Detours: Picnic Basket, and Night Light: Katie (October Afternoon)
  • Cardstock: Baja Breeze and Bleu Bayou (Stampin' Up!)
  • Accents: Buttons (generic)
  • Fibers: Twine (generic)
  • Die-cuts: Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge (ProvoCraft)
