All in the Family GIVEAWAY...

Hi crafty friends! So, I opened the mail today and found the latest issue of Paper Crafts magazine tucked inside the mailbox and I was really excited. I don't have anything published in this issue, but it doesn't mean that I'm not represented...by my husband! Alas, he didn't submit a card, but the sweet P. Kelly Smith published one of his "comment to win" comments in the Online Corner on pg. 18 under the headline: "Happy Wife = Happy Life" -- it's pretty hilarious and I'm giggling that both of us can now say we've been "published" in the same magazine!
The magazine was kind enough to send my husband his very own copy, so we have two in the house. As much as I want to hang on to every copy of my fave mag, I thought I'd share the love by giving one away to celebrate my reaching 250 Followers and over 50 "Like"ers on The Stampin' Bean on Facebook! If you'd like to win this issue (May/June 2011), just leave a comment below telling me who in your life makes you happy by midnight EST on Sunday, April 10 and my husband will draw one lucky winner! (I just may include a little something extra, so feel free to tell your friends!)

Hi Regina, ah, what a sweet hubby. Love his comment. My husband makes me happy. He lets me sit for hours reading stamping blogs, buy Copic markers, make cards and scrapbook. He is very supportive of my hobby and loves that I always have a card ready for when someone needs one. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the Papercrafts magazine. joanvanc@gmail.com

Regina, I was CRACKING up when I read that article! You're both famous! I don't need the copy so you can leave me out of the running, but my dear granddaughter brings a smile to my face and makes me happy every single day! My DH does too, especially when he helps around the house! :D

Regina, I loved printing your husband's comment in our May/June issue! We don't receive many comments from men, so when your husband's e-mail came across my inbox, I just knew I had to share it with our readers. Tell your husband he's welcome to leave a comment anytime...he might just get "published" again!

Kelly Smith,
Paper Crafts magazine

Too cute! My husband is my sunshine - he makes every day better and the longer I know him, the more I love him (and actually, genuinely LIKE him, too!) Thanks for the chance to win!

My hubby, children and.....my dog all make me happy!

That is too cute! What a wonderful hubby. I have to say he thinks along the same line as mine, as he has always told the kids as they were growing up, "if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" In his travels out on the road he even found a t-shirt with that on it and brought it home to me. Everyone in the house knew that when I wore that shirt, I was not happy about something, and they would all work hard to make my day go better. LOL

My husband and 15 year old son make my life happy. They both do so many things that show how much they love and appreciate me. One of those things would be allowing me to spend time uninterrupted in my craft room.

My family and friends make me happy -- I am very blessed and grateful for them.

Love it!! I would die if my hubby got published like that, but then again, he would do it if he had the chance. He is the one that makes me so happy. He tells me every morning that I am the very reason his heart beats. He is the reason that I breathe my next breath. He always turns my frown upside down into a smile.....every day.

My children make me happy when they tell me they love me!! So sweet... hope they still say it when they are teenagers!

Too funny! I love that you've both been published in PC, regardless of how much crafting is done by either. :) My husband and son are the ones that tend to make me the happiest... when they're not making me insane. ;)

Wow that's great! My husband and I do our own thing; he does his engineering things while I do my crafting. One kid at my work makes me feel happy.

Funny! Congrats on your "likers" and followers. Right now, the person that makes me happy is my new granddaughter! She's a little over a week old and was born weighing just 1 lb. 1 oz.! I am so in love with her!

That's so cute! A husband that realizes if you can't win, join them! You have to love someone who enables an addiction, especially paper crafting! Mine does, even when he doesn't realize it!!! :D

Like most of these ladies, it would have to be my husband of 34 years. He has been my rock in a hard place though out our life together and makes every day just as interesting as the first day together. He understands my card making obsession and says that
"I am in my Happy Place" when I am making cards. Got to love that man....Oh yeah I Do! Thanks Hun.

Hubbby, of course! He encouraged me to attend Michael's crop night even though I offered to stay home with the kids. I've been waiting for months to go, lol well ever since they started last year.

Linda Callahan said...

That is too cute that they published his comment! My husband tells everyone that my cards are just like Hallmark's but without the decimal point - then goes on to explain that instead of 3.50 each "she uses $350 worth of equipment to make one!" About that Harley he has in the garage........

What a sweet story! For me, it's my husb. :)

I love this mag, but alas I am unable to afford to buy it. I rely on my great stamping buddy to share her copy. They always have great ideas and I love the easy instructions.
BTW, your blog is AWESOME! You've done some really cute stuff. I have put it in my favorites and will visit often.

My sweetie got me a Cricut Expression for my birthday a couple of years ago. He's been very suportive of my 'need' for cartridges. He read your hubbys comment and said it was true, a happy wife = a happy life. Please don't add me to the list for the copy of the mag, I have my own. So if my name is draw, please draw again.
Ijust wanted to share. Hugs

I have a subscription to Paper Crafts but I seem to have trouble lately getting it delivered in the mail. I joke that my mail lady is a papercrafter. Hopefully I will get mine soon and I can let you know and someone else can win it! Of course I'd keep the extra goody! So I guess getting my Paper Craft magazine makes me happy :)

Now, if more hubbys got that simple, but important comment. Very sweet of him! My son and hubby make me happy.

Who makes me happy?? My husband, my 2 little boys, and all of my kitties make me so happy I never want to leave my house!! LOL! OK...that's not true, but they all do make me very happy!!! I would LOVE to win a copy of this magazine! As a stay-at-home Mom, we do not have any "extra" money after everyone else has used it (hubby to eat out for lunch a couple of times a week because he hates taking sandwiches every day, and both kids are in soccer, school pictures, etc), so I have not been able to subscribe to this magazine yet....even though I want to get it more than you can imagine!! I am trying to sell the cards & crafts I make to earn a little extra money for me...but it's slow going. It costs to advertize, so I'm stuck. Anyway...thanks for the chance to win this!!!

Cute idea! Husbands are the BEST!! I moved so far away from my 5 sisters and 2 brothers (no children of our own) ~ so guess who 'gets' to be my family 24/7 : ) Lucky Lucky Me! I know of no one else who would put up with this scrapbooking addiction that permeates every corner of our home . . . *sigh* He's the greatest!

Karinn said...

Awww, I love that your husband was so sweet to do that (have him call my DH to hive him some tips, would ya?). I love my husband bunches, but when it comes to crafting, my little ones make me happy and provide my ideas for cards and most of my scrapbook pages. They love to come in and give me advice, color schemes and "help" me make cards. I love those 3 squirts sooooo much, how can I resist their charms - er- I mean help?

Gailanne said...

My hubby is very supportive of my stamping addiction (!) and very patient when I'm away at classes during the weekend when he's home from work. He definitely makes me very happy!

My ultimate happiness is not on any one person, but my husband definitely tops the list. My kids are a close 2nd, followed by my close circle of friends (A.K.A. Scrapping buddies). My life wouldn't be complete without any one of them.
