Thanks, Pals!...

I am so proud to be a Featured Artist for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge, and it's fitting that this week's theme is "Thank You/Gratitude." Mary Fish and her amazing Design Team, along with Mary's Stampin' Pretty Pals, are a wonderful, supportive bunch, and I'm honored and grateful to have my work displayed alongside their incredible creations.
For this card, I decided to go the more traditional route in its design and sensibility. I created my own designer paper by embossing a piece of Kraft cardsotck with a Stampin' Up's Texturz Plate. To bring out the pretty flourish pattern, I sponged over the entire sheet with Rich Razzleberry. Using the Rock & Roll Technique, I stamped the blossom in Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry before two-step stamping again with the Rich Razzleberry. When I saw this Ruffled Ribbon Technique, I knew I just had to try it. I used some Purely Pomegranate ribbon as it is quite close to Rich Razzleberry, and I was delighted with the results. The frame is popped up with a double layer of Foam for an added sense of depth. A few little pearls finish off an otherwise simple card!

I can't decide which is my fav part - the embossing(super sharp detail) or the ribbon! Excellent project!
