The sheet of embellies can be easily removed.

It's the first day of the last month of 2010 and that means it's Day 1 of Sneak Peeks for Taylored Expressions! Today I have a fun project for you that is both a card and a gift in one using the soon-to-be released set, Friendship Blooms. You'll also be getting a sneaky peeky of the coordinating dies and the new Taylored Impressions Plate which means some crafty good times!

I call this kind of card an "Embellie Gift Card." These embellishments are handmade and attached on a sheet of removable acetate so that your gift recipient can use them on another project! For the card itself, I used one of my new favorite color combinations and used the new TE Scallops and Circles Impression plate to make some cool background paper. (I'll be showing you the other side of the plate in the next couple days.) To learn more about the new Impression Plates, visit here.
The embellies are made from felt and cardstock, and I added some faux string to the cute button stamps.

SPILLING THE BEANS
  1. Make card from cardstock.
  2. Emboss cardstock with impression plate. Trim and adhere.
  3. Stamp sentiment on cardstock. Trim and cut slits with hobby blade.
  4. Trim patterned paper and attach through slits.
  5. Stamp flowers on cardstock. Die-cut. Die-cut flowers from felt. Stamp buttons on cardstock; punch out and pierce holes; draw strings with marker. Assemble with glue. Adhere foam tape on undersides, leaving backing in place.
  6. Trim acrylic sheet. Insert into slits. Adhere embellies with glue dots.
