A Year of Favorites...and a GIVEAWAY!

Today I have the honor of being highlighted on the Paper Crafts Connection blog as a published 'newbie' -- if you are a regular TSB reader, you will have seen a peek of my card that was picked up for Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Vol 2. PLUS, Go-To-Gal and all-around rock star Kim Hughes made a card based on mine and I'm still flushed with pride.
Thank you so much to everyone who left me such sweet congratulations! I am still dancing on the ceiling and thought I would take a look back and choose my own personal favorites from the projects I created this year. It was fun going through my little blog and remembering what was happening in my life at the moment I created something. Enjoy, and thank you so much to everyone who stops by my wee world every once in a while. To say thanks and to celebrate my published status, I'm doing a Mystery Giveaway! To participate, please read to the end of this post and I'm so glad you could drop in!

In January, I was incredibly flattered to have this floral box chosen as a Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.

In February, I created this sympathy card as part of a challenge. These cards are always so hard to create, and so I was pleased with the response to how this one turned out.

In March, I participated in a Spring/Easter Hop that had me making this little Easter basket.

In April, I played around with my various punches and created this sweet rocking horse. I still love the color combination on this card, too.

In May, I made this birthday card for my big brother. I got to draw in most of the scene and remembered how much fun I have when I do that.

In June, I was fully entrenched in the Gallery Idol competition. This shaped circus tent was created almost entirely out of ribbon. I think it is my all-time favorite project I have ever made.

Still in June, this was my final Gallery Idol submission. I drew and cut out nearly every piece of this card and had a blast with the contest. I couldn't resist including this one in my list!

In July, this card had a lot of special meaning for me because it was one of two that won me a spot on my first Design Team (2Sketches 4 You) and the beginning of a new adventure.

In August, I created this card to celebrate an invitation to join the Taylored Expression Baker's Dozen Design Team. It was one of those rare projects that comes together exactly as I envisioned it and it's definitely become a personal fave.

In September, I spent a LOT of time creating and keeping busy. This card was simply fun to create and one I made purely for the joy of creating.

In October, I had a lot of fun with Thanksgiving projects, and my favorite was this Mayflower pop-up card I made for the TE stamp release. I still love how fun this turned out.

In October, I was asked to join in with JustRite Stampers for a Christmas Hop and I created this little scene by putting together a lot of different stamp sets and drawing a few of my own.

In November, I created what might be my favorite gift-giving project, this gift card holder made from a coffee cup. I had so much fun making it and it turned out just right.

And of course, my published card!

The year isn't yet over, but I know the rest of it will be super busy for all of us. It's been a tremendous year for me in paper-crafting, and I have to wonder what 2011 will bring! As a way to celebrate this year, I'd like to do a little giveaway. This one is a MYSTERY giveaway! What is it? Well, I'll give you a hint: I have an awful lot of supplies and cards that need a good home because mine is bursting at the seams. Below are details on how you can have 4 chances to win:
  1. Leave a Comment here on my blog telling me which of my "Favorite" projects you like best or a link to any of my past posts that is your fave. Yes, I need an ego boost to get me through the holidays!
  2. Follow The Stampin' Bean (see sidebar) and leave me another comment telling me you did. I've never asked for anyone to Follow my blog before and am proud to have reached 200 happy Followers. I would LOVE to push over the 200 mark! If you already Follow, leave me a comment telling me just that.
  3. Subscribe to The Stampin' Bean via email OR in a Reader (see sidebar). If you like what you see, get a (almost) daily dose of TSB directly to your Inbox or to your Homepage. Don't forget to come back and leave a comment saying that you did or that you are already subscribing.
  4. "Like" The Stampin' Bean on Facebook. If you are an FB addict, you'll get updates when I update TSB. So, once you have "Liked" on FB, come back and leave a comment that you did or that you are already one of my lovely Likers.
Thanks for indulging me. I have never done one of these giveaways requesting more than just a comment, so don't feel like you have to subscribe or "like" TSB in order to have a chance to win. But if do, leave a separate comment for each for additional chances to win. I appreciate each and every one of your comments on my projects!

From all comments received by midnight EST Friday, December 3, 2010, (EDIT: deadline extended to 3pm Pacific Sunday, December 5, 2010!) I'll choose one lucky winner at random to win my mystery giveaway. (Please play nicely and honestly!) Please be sure to leave me a way to contact you in case you are the winner! Tell your friends (unless you want the prize all to your own little self!) I'll announce the winner along and reveal the prize next week. Join me tomorrow for more crafty goodness!

Hi Regina, What awsome cards. I have been a suscriber to your blog for about a year and enjoy all your cards but recently I've been looking for inspiration for a card for my teenage grandson who needs some support and love right now and I think your "discover your wings" card would be perfect. Thanks for all the great ideas. Nancy

I started following you sometime in the middle of the year and just love so many of your designs that it's hard to pick a favorite. However, I think if I were forced to chose, I would have to go with the coffee cup card holder. So cute and practical!!! A lovely way to dress up a gift card, especially if it's for a coffee shop!

And lucky me to see that you have a GIVEAWAY! But to pick just one favorite is IMPOSSIBLE . . . soooo, I'll just have to say that I love your use of color. You have the tones and hues and colors so perfectly matched! From what I've seen so far, I'm really a big FAN and can hardly wait to see what you create in the future! Oh, and P.S., a sympathy card is so difficult to visualize, but you did an awesome job with the colors and layout!

Hi Regina,
Well, I am already subscribed to your blog, because I LOVE to see what you create. I was shocked to read that you are a newbie, because your work is so beautiful. My favorite piece you've done is the Circus Tent...I was just blown away when I saw it! What an amazing, creative use of ribbon! I think you should've won the Idol, but I know it's an honor to compete!?

The project you did that truly touched my heart was your TE Cuppies on the Mayflower. Apart from the fact that it IS just adorable, I'm a true Cuppie addict (shhh...I don't want to lose the habit). I live in Massachusetts and work in Plymouth right down the street from the Mayflower (it's a replica!) so that project just put a song in my heart!

And...I'm named Regina, too. Someday I may see my name in a publication, but for now I enjoy creating and stamping for myself! Thank you for sharing all you do!
