For Day Three of sneak peeks for Release Week at Taylored Expressions, I thought I would try something both fun and sweet! You know I adore pop-ups, and I thought I would make two today, using different techniques to show off two darling soon-to-be-released sets, Kid at Heart and Sweet Friends. Also on display are some of the fab papers and embellishments from the Be My Valentine Project Pantry kit available this Friday!
If you would like to try to make your own pop-ups, there are a good number of terrific how-to and template sites that are easy to follow. Start simple and work your way up...pop-up cards are so fun to make and are always good for a smile or two!
You Float My Boat Card
pull up on the striped tab, and the sinking ship dissolves into a floating boat! |
One of my favorite pop-ups is the dissolving scene. At first, I didn't think I could do it, but I was really determined once I saw the adorable tugboat from the new set, Kid at Heart, which is going to see a lot of use at my house now that the rugrat has started school. But, as he is currently in his "destroy everything in sight" phase, I thought I would focus on his Daddy, and make this card for my sweet hubby, who always likes a little humor in his cards. The pretty heart frame stamp coordinates with the TE Take Note Die #3 and it helped me create the perfect window for my little tugboat.
With a Little Help From My Friends Card
turn the wheel at the bottom of the card for a parade of sweet treats! |
I used the deliciously adorable macaron (a fave in our house!), the ding-dong, the candy, and the cupcake in Cuppie's parade of happy sugar friends, but there are a ton more to choose from in this extra-yummy set.
